TREATMENT OF SCARS
Scars can greatly burden patients, particularly in exposed locations such as the face.
We make the distinction between atrophic (sunk in) and hypertrophic (exceeding) scars.
Sunk in scars are treated through injections with filling substances.
Exceeding scars are treated with injections with proliferation blockers.
For the successful treatment of scars, usually several sessions are necessary.
In addition to the injections, a treatment with special creams or silicone bandages should be carried out.
