BOTOX

Botulinumtoxin A (or Botox) is a pharmaceutical product which prevents the stimulation between the nerve and the muscles. This blockage of the stimulation prevents a muscle contraction and thus leads to relaxation of the muscles. The so-called gesticular wrinkles will disappear within a few days.
The full effect can be seen after 3–10 days and remains for 6–9 months.
Botulinumtoxin A is ideal for the treatment of forehead wrinkles, glabellar wrinkles and laughter wrinkles around the eyes.
Botulinumtoxin A is also successful for the treatment of excessive sweating in the armpits. For this small amounts of the preparation are injected in the sweat glands.
